Message from the Administration 2017-02-06T15:44:44+00:00

We truly appreciate the feedback and the willingness for students, staff,

parents and guardians to work together to keep our playground a safe place. During the month of October, we celebrated Saint John Paul II’s feast day, collected an amazing number of items for the foodbank, invited parents for the Thriller performance, surpassed our fundraising goal during the Dance-a-Thon and we came together to have fun during Halloween. The “Kindness Matters” campaign is truly being embraced and demonstrated at SJPII.

We look forward to welcoming our parents and guardians at our upcoming parent-teacher conferences scheduled for November 16 from 3-6 and November 17 from 3-5:00 & 5:30-8:00.

Parent-teacher conferences are a perfect opportunity to:

  • Discuss your child’s learning and achievement in subjects and learning skills
  • Share concerns and questions
  • Celebrate successes
  • Ask questions related to school classroom operations, communications, instruction and assessment

It is our hope that all families will engage in 21st Century learning along side your children. We use multiple forms of communication to help you stay connected with all the activities that will be taking place at Saint John Paul II Catholic Elementary School.

Please sign up for Newswire, an electronic email service to communicate important school notifications through your designated email. You may sign up at https://newswire.wcdsb.ca/SaintJohnPaul.html. Our Weekly Updates will be sent via NewsWire and posted on this school website at the beginning of each week. We also have a Twitter feed and you can follow us @SJPIIsuns. Classroom teachers will be using D2L for classroom communication and the development of student e-Portfolios from JK- Gr. 6. Finally, our students and teachers continue to learn more about GAFE: Google Apps for Education.

We are truly engaged in 21st Century learning at SJPII, and we hope you will join us. Thank you for being an active participant and partner in your child’s education!

Blessings,

Rod Eckert and Sherry MacDonald
