June has been filled with many activities and events worth celebrating. Here is an update from our Rays and teams.

Show your spirit Suns! Canada Day will be celebrated on Friday June 28. Wear red, white and Canada attire.

Mission Day

Mission Day was a huge success thanks to our students, teachers, volunteers and families who made donations.  Drum roll please ……. our school raised an incredible $2974.57 which will be donated to help those in need in our community. Thank you to all for your generosity!

3-D Printing Club

The 3D Printing Club at Saint John Paul has been creating designs using Tinkercad, and some students have been able to watch their designs come to life! Some Grade 5 students have been learning about creating appropriate designs, slicing their design, learning troubleshooting tips, and printing designs. We can’t see what you’ll create next!

‘I Read Canada’ Fundraiser

Mr. Perkin’s class is deeply appreciative of the contributions staff made in support of their bake sale to raise funds for “I Read Canada”. Because of staff generosity, their small little bake sale was able to raise $205.07. All donations will go towards providing reading materials to underprivileged communities within Canada. The students were really proud of what they were able to accomplish as a classroom community and the charity they were able to extend towards there fellow Canadians in support of literacy! Students heard about ‘I Read Canada’ at the Festival of Trees Reading Field Trip.

Yearbook Distribution

The yearbook has arrived and been delivered to each student who purchased one from JK to Grade 7 on Tuesday June 25. The Grade 8’s will receive their copies at the church on Tuesday during their retreat. Labels have been inserted into the front cover of each yearbook so that they are easily identifiable. Hope you enjoy!
