Youth Drop In Program at Chicopee Hills Public School

In partnership with the Centreville Chicopee Community Association, the City of Kitchener has created a new Youth Drop In program in the Chicopee area. Youth Drop In (YDI) is a long-standing program that Youth Services at the City of Kitchener has run. YDI is designed to provide a safe, supportive, and supervised space for youth to hang out. It offers optional and flexible recreation and leisure programs tailored to the specific needs and wants of program participants. Our programs give youth in every part of our city a chance to play sports, games and music, make art and crafts, learn to cook, and more. This past Monday we launched our first night of YDI in the Chicopee area! We will be running YDI out of Chicopee Hills Public School every Monday from 6:30-9:00. Our weekly program is ran by three City staff members who have a passion for youth development and recreation. This program is for youth ages 12-17 and we are asking $1/visit. If a youth does not have $1 to put towards admissions, that will not be a barrier to entry. See attached flyer.
