Dear SUN Families:
Happy Easter! This weekend, we celebrate the story of the crucifixion, death and resurrection of Jesus. For even though the story ended in His death, this is a story of HOPE. Jesus sacrificed Himself so that we would be forgiven and allowed to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Jesus’ resurrection during Easter, not only renews our faith, but it also gives us peace, restores our souls, and helps us to overcome our struggles, especially when we are overwhelmed. We will get through this together! For as we were Called To Belong, we are now Gathered to Become.
Jesus suffered and gave His life for us, a truly selfless act. This reminds us of the selfless acts which are happening in our community right now. Let us acknowledge those in our families and community who have given tirelessly of themselves.
THANK YOU to the parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, children, who are frontline and essential workers, keeping us all safe and healthy. Thank you to those who are caring for others. THANK YOU!
On behalf of all the staff of Saint John Paul II, we wish you all the best this Easter season. You are all in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. For just like Jesus rose again, so shall we. Please watch this inspirational video to remind us of this miracle. https://youtu.be/Wuiqee-AC-o
