Good morning SUNS!
Some information for you this morning as you wake up to another week and some frigid temperatures!
- Please dress for the weather! The temperatures are very low this morning but we will be going outside. It is unsafe to be outside, improperly dressed. Please make good decisions when you are leaving the house this morning!
- Walk with CAUTION! The locks to our sheds have frozen, and we are currently unable to get our shovels or salt. The sidewalks are very slippery when they are snow-covered. Please walk with caution and be safe!
- Drive with CAUTION! There are lots of people on the road and lots of walkers. Please drive carefully and make good choices about drop-off areas. If you can walk to school, we encourage you to do so, to eliminate the traffic around the building.
- Please see APH008-00_Inclement Weather, our board policy on Inclement Weather. In it, it states that we will use www.weather.ca to determine temperatures at recess time. If temperatures (including the windchill) are between -20 and -27, we will go outside for a “shortened recess”, no longer than 15 minutes. This means that our morning, and both morning and afternoon recess will be uninterrupted. If these temperatures happen at lunch, we will shorten the recess to 15 minutes and then we will bring students inside. If temperatures are colder than -27, recesses will be canceled.
